Day 1 – MANAUS/LODGE

Departure from Manaus at 8:00 AM on a regional boat to the ACAJATUBA JUNGLE LODGE, passing by “The Meeting of Waters”.  Arrival, welcome drink and accommodation. Lunch and canoe tour for reconnaissance through the “igarapés” and “igapós”.  Return to the lodge enjoying a beautiful sunset and observing the botos (river dolphin). Dinner and night tour in canoes spotting alligators with flashlight along the riverbank.

Day 2 – LODGE

Sunrise tour followed by breakfast, walking tour in the jungle. After lunch visit to a native village and canoe tour to see and listen to the Forest sounds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – LODGE

Breakfast followed by visit to Anavilhanas Archipelago.  Tour between the islands stopping at an indian village (Baniwas and Tukano’s), trekking through the Forest with native guide to obtain knowledge of their culture, alimentation habits, natural medicine etc.  Stoppage at a beach for lunch (barbecue). Following then by boat to Jaraqui River and its falls and passing by the “igapós”.  Fishing. Return at sunset. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight.

Day 4 —LODGE/MANAUS

After breakfast visit to a “Samaumeira” — the biggest tree found in Amazon — which is used by the natives as communication means.  Visit to a fluvial beach at Negro River, where you will spend the morning.  Lunch at the lodge and return to Manaus, arriving at 5:30 PM.
