The Florida Hotel is a tourist class hotel with 225 rooms,
located in the residential district of Flamengo, only a few steps away from the
beach. The Babuska Restaurant, on the lobby level, is well known for its
delicious cuisine, featuring the Executive Buffet that includes Brazilian
specialties. The large and relaxing hotel's terrace has a nice pool, bar, a
fitness center, and a magnificent view to the Flamengo Park, with its wonderful
gardens designed by the internationally famous landscape architect, Burle Max.
In the park, you will find various sport courts and wonderful surroundings for
your jogging activities. The hotel offers one of the largest convention centers
in Rio de Janeiro, with 13 meeting rooms, eight in the main building and five in
the annex, an historical building that was once the Guard House of the former
Presidential Palace. Easy to get anywhere in town: only five minutes away from
the city center and close to Copacabana and to most of the tourist landmarks of
Rio.
